The rosehips that we procure from our Lesotho village suppliers will either be wet, moist or sun dry. This is based on the procurement period within each season. The suppliers are paid based on this and in line with the Fair Trade best practises.
To prepare the rosehips for further processing we crate all rosehips. This allows for the visual inspection of the raw procured material, and to manage the movement of the product within the next stage of processing.
The drying process is electronically controlled to ensure a consistent moisture levels within the drying chambers to ensure a quality product output.
The dried rosehip will have a acceptable moisture standard of less than 10%.
The dried whole rosehips are bulk stored in bulk bags to allow for futher processing.
The first part of the bulk process involves the seperation of the Hips in to the Shell and Seed. The shell will be further processed into rough cut, Tea Cut and powder.
We supply whole sale rosehip seeds for further processing by our clients.
We supply the rosehip powder for the cosmetic and health supplements market.
We cold press our own rosehip seed oil.
We package the whole rosehip, Shells, Seeds based on the clients requirements. Samples can be provided prior to order and shipment, ex works.
The final product is stored in our 500 sqm stock warehouse facility. All outbound stock will be provided with a batch trace notice.
